SCFSC Must Continue to Raise Funds
The Santa Clara County FireSafe Council is pleased to announce that we received five federal grants for 2009 from the US Forest Service and the US Fish and Wildlife Service through the California Fire Safe Council for Defensible Space Chipping Programs in selected Communities at Risk from wildfires in Santa Clara County and that we have been selected for three similar 2010 grants from the US Forest Service and the USDI Bureau of Land Management!
While we are encouraged by this federal grant funding, we must continue to complement it with local, private funds to build a truly sustainable organization and maintain the momentum we have gained over the last year.

The Santa Clara County FireSafe Council is a non-profit organization which relies completely on donations and grants to further our mission to keep Santa Clara County residents, property and wildlands safe from the devastating effects of wildfire.
